1988 sind Cynthia Beatt und die junge Tilda Swinton zu einer filmischen Reise entlang der Berliner Mauer in ein wenig bekanntes Territorium aufgebrochen. Der Film CYCLING THE FRAME ist heute ein ungewöhnliches Dokument.
21 Jahre später, im Juni 2009, sind Beatt & Swinton noch einmal die Linie nachgefahren, die Berlin einst teilte und isolierte. In dem poetischen Film THE INVISIBLE FRAME folgen sie diesem Weg durch die vielfältigen Grenzlandschaften, dieses Mal auf beiden Seiten der ehemaligen Berliner Mauer.
In 1988 Cynthia Beatt and the young Tilda Swinton embarked on a filmic journey along the Berlin Wall into little-known territory. The film CYCLING THE FRAME is now an unusual document.
21 years later, in June 2009, Beatt & Swinton re-traced the line of the Wall that once isolated West Berlin. THE INVISIBLE FRAME depicts this poetic passage through varied landscapes, this time on both sides of the former Wall.
